Bibliography Introductory Workshop
Introduction:
Below you will find several sources about a particular
topic. Your group will not know what the topic is that unites
these sources. It will be your goal during this class period to
investigate these sources, deduce a common theme, and to write an evaluative annotated bibliography based
on them.
Sources:
Instructions:
- Create bibliographic entries for each source in MLA format.
- You will (obviously) not be able to read these two books and an
article during class! Devise a way to access the sources'
contents in the time that you have. Schedule your time.
- Write summaries for each source. You'll want different
group members to write each summary, and might want to assign multiple
members to some of the sources.
- Devise a unifying theme for the bibliography's sources.
- Draft a statement of scope for the bibliography.
- Add evaluative sections to your bibliography's annotations.
- Review your bibliography and email
a single copy of it to your instructor.
